The article is a direct copy and paste from your publisher Savas Beatie announcing your award.

At this point I have not read your book and my article title was in no means a knock against your work. I stand by my word though that when the book was published it did generate a large buzz. You describe my book as "Controversial" yet the article provides no specific examples of any controversial content. The book is indeed a critical expose' of the historiography and literature of John Bell Hood, but all of my factual assertions are supported by over 1,000 footnotes, most of which are primary sources. Despite being released over nine months ago, I have yet to receive any denials or objections from any of the numerous historians whom I cite; in fact, none have even engaged me in debate in defense of their portrayals of Hood.

Respectfully,

Stephen M. Nor did you address the person that commented who had a verifiable case of food poisoning. The problem wasn't that the owners didn't work hard. They may have, they may not have. Again, read the comments from others on my first posting. Some people. do not think the owners worked hard. What they surely did not do based upon my visit and that of others was TRAIN people. The service was poor and so was the food. Writing the original review didn't make me feel better. It made me feel like I told the truth. Apparently others felt the same way or the restaurant would still be in business. The WASTE (not waist) of valuable space was apparently GrantLee's. Have you stopped to think that there is a GOOD FAMILY behind all those harsh statements you have made publicly on the internet?!? No probably not. I worked for that family, since day one. yes, it started off a bit rocky (just like any other family restaurant) in which I have helped open a few... But once they finally found a dependable crew, and a good kitchen staff, they were doing great. And 99% of the guest comment cards were amazing. But too late. By then, they had already dumped everything.into the place (which was a bad location to begin with) and they lost everything. This family was there from open to close, 7 days a week. I havr never seen people that worked so hard. So for you to publicly bash them on the world wide web is pitiful and you should be ashamed of yourself. I feel sorry for people like you. Your life must be so pathetic for you to have to bad mouth hard working people who deserve respect, to make yourself feel superior. And you think you're such a "civil war genius" then you should've asked to speak to the owner, Richard Bates. Because I would've loved to hear you say to his face that he didn't know anything about the theme and that his restaurant didn't belong there. But.instead, you felt it necessary to run home to your computer screen and type out your frustrations with someone else's business. Get a life. People like you are a waist of valuable space on this planet.a past employee of a great family businessnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8764184332425626249.post-28216321505962185382013-07-12T07:09:59.412-07:002013-07-12T07:09:59.412-07:00I have the honor of portraying Extra Billy as a me...I have the honor of portraying Extra Billy as a member of Lee's Lieutenants. First we ordered an appetizer with potato skins and the waitress cam back about 10 minutes later and informed us that they didn’t have potato skins. Well we have had them before and they make them their – why would a restaturant on a Friday night not have potatoes. Also my chicken tasted burned and the French fries came out and were NOT cooked.

My husband asked if it was happy hour and was told YES and ordered a Yuengling draft beer. When we got the bill – the happy hour price was $3.50. WTF. When this was ordered before it was $1.75 – which is a pretty steep increase. The waitress should have informed us that the prices had increased and let us know the new prices.

We asked to speak with the manager. She came to our table and she proceeded to tell us Yuengling was NOT a domestic Beer which is kind of funny because it’s brewed in Pottsville, PA and Tampa, FL and is tied for the Largest American Brewery (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuengling). I was going to speak and she stopped me and told me that she needed to finish. Which was quite RUDE if you ask me. She was getting very loud and should not be a manager. I asked who the owners were and she told me her parents. Well we know why she has the job. They would be better off hiring a REAL manager that knows how to deal with customers correctly. She also added that 10 of the waiters/waitresses had been fired or laid off recently – I wonder if that has anything to do with the management of this place.

I had told quite a few people to try out this new restaurant – but I will make sure that everyone knows that they SHOULD NOT!!!!
Stampinzoohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06869564561801709252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8764184332425626249.post-10193302413111590902013-06-12T19:31:41.632-07:002013-06-12T19:31:41.632-07:00catalog is fairly complete, so I had an extra refe...catalog is fairly complete, so I had an extra reference.
