South Carolina selling Confederate money

In tight budget times you never know where the next revenue stream will come from. For the state of South Carolina it has come from some old Confederate currency that should have been destroyed many years ago. So far the South Carolina Department of Archives and History has made about $200,000 selling bills from approximately 40 boxes of "worthless" money. The money has been put to good use buying things such as acid free boxes for storage and also helping to pay for digitizing records.
